Frozen Roasted Red Bell Pepper Puree

Red bell peppers have a sweeter and almost fruity flavor, compared to the green variety. The red bell peppers that are used in our red bell pepper puree are grown in the United States and Mexico. Planting for the crop begins in February and ends in April. The bell peppers are then harvested from August to October.

After the crops are harvested, they are taken to the production facility, where they are washed, cored, inspected, blanched, roasted, diced, pureed and quick frozen to preserve color and flavor. 

The finished product is packed in pails to service your industrial vegetable puree needs. This process ensures that our customers have the taste of roasted red bell pepper all year-round.

So, when can I use frozen red pepper purée? Frozen red pepper purée has many applications, including: 

• Incorporated into salad dressing such as a vinaigrette
• Added into ranch for extra vegetable content
• Stirred into ketchup to sneak in extra veggies
• Blended with strawberries and freeze for fruit and veggie popsicles
• Mixed into a dip for a burst of natural color

Bell peppers are members of the nightshade family. They are related to chili peppers, tomatoes and breadfruit, all of which are native to Central and South America.
